Daniel Rambert, CFA®
Dan is responsible for directing the Firm’s investment research efforts as chair of our investment committee. His many responsibilities include investigating and presenting active mutual fund managers and passive index fund varieties for the group’s consideration. In addition to screening for candidates that meet selection criteria, Dan identifies metrics used to test adherence to a process, monitors performance and scrutinizes misses. Dan came to us with over 16 years of experience analyzing individual securities and third-party managers. Most recently he was a Portfolio Manager and member of the Manager Research Group at Wilmington Trust. Previously he managed assets for the Maryland State Retirement System. He started his career with two equity-focused hedge funds and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Dan earned both his MS and BBA degrees in Finance, Investments, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin. He has earned the highly respected Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Baltimore.
